FAQ

  • It is always a good idea to verify your benefits prior to your appointment. We are in network with United Healthcare, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, Providence, and Aetna. As a courtesy, we can offer out-of-network billing services with some plans as well.

  • No! In fact, many patients come to us for our gentle, painless style of treatment. Some even tell us that the needle insertion was virtually imperceptible. That is because we use the thinnest acupuncture needles available—not much thicker than a human hair. If you are ever uncomfortable in any way, we will quickly make an adjustment so that you feel at ease.

  • Please wear or bring loose-fitting clothing such as a tank top and shorts or sweatpants.

  • For the first visit, please allow 90 minutes. This gives us time to review your medical history and goals for treatment in addition to acupuncture. Subsequent visits are one hour.

  • Typically, patients describe feeling more relaxed and centered with improved sleep and digestion. If you are coming for a longstanding pain condition, it may take several sessions to be free of pain; however, there are cases where folks feel better right away!
